Company D

This past weekend we had the opportunity to go to Company D, a discount Disney store that is just for Cast Members---we had the opportunity to go for Friends and Family week, thanks to a friend of ours.

There was box after box, after box of toys and other little things from the park.

I think they were overstock items or things that maybe didn't sell too well. Or at least that's what it looked it. Everything was at least 50% off! It was really fun to look around! : )

This area had Cast member exclusives---this is where I got my Cast Member only Little Mermaid shirt (that is for the ride opening)!!! I LOVE IT!!

Brody got a nice watch and we got a couple other little things. We aren't big on Disney items, wearing them or having them around the house, but it was so fun to find some things that we do love! And it was a blast to check out a little Disneyland treasure.

Oh, they also have a little grocery store in there! : )

What a difference a lunch makes

Tuesday afternoon Brody happened to be in the office around lunch, which doesn't happen very often---so we took the opportunity to take a lunch date!

As we were deciding on where to go we saw a Tweet from the Angels that announced a press conference at 2pm and the public was invited. This peeked our curiosity so we grabbed lunch and headed to Angel Stadium to see what it was like being at a press conference for our favorite team. it was pretty fun! They had a nice stage set up under on of the big hats, Angels Talk radio was set up and broadcasting live, Fox Sports was there, along with the news stations.

After we finished lunch we got in a big line, not really sure what it was. We soon realized they were handing all of us free tickets and other discounts to that nights game!!

So later, we found ourselves on our train, headed for another ballgame! : )

I REALLY wanted to go on the Rally Monkey Chia Pet give-a-way night, and I had forgoten to look into getting us tickets....I was pretty excited to find out that our free tickets also got us the free Chia Pet.....and really you probablly wouldn't want to buy tickets just for this anyway, so it really worked out! ; )

The team was SO excited, they were all hugged up and jumping around---since this game put them in a much better standing! It was a really fun game to be at!

It was SUCH a fun night!!

And to think....it all started with a lunch date! : )

F is for Fair, Food and Fun

This past Saturday we caught the Fair just before it closed up for the summer. After Brody did a 25m bike ride with the Scouts (working up to their 50 miler), we headed over for some fair food and sights!

This Ice Museum was an exhibit I was really excited to see

All the walls were made from ice...

Even the little walls that separated us from the works were all ice and craved in detail...

Everyones glasses coming out of the museum were completly frosted over. There were some who would write things in the frost of them...but in the sun, by the time I got the camera out and ready the sun had gotten the best of the frost.

We did try the Fried Oreos. Turns out, its like an Oreo cake, and not at all as gressy as I thought they would be.

He got the idea to win me a stuffed animal, and tried a couple games

It was so fun to watch him : ) 

He tried a balloon popping game, were you had 4 darts to win a prize of your choice. Without even thinking he just throw the darts one after another and popped them all!! And I LOVE my little dog he won me, it's SO soft! : ) 

We stopped in to see the "worlds largest gator"...to be honest, he didn't look as big as I was hopping, but I have never seen one in person that close up. To me, that was worth the dollar. : )
