Temple Morning

Brody and I got up early this past week to help out with baptisms. It was such a beautiful morning, and I love how this photo came out (just a quick snap shot on my phone)! There is really nothing like spending time in the temple together....we are so blessed to have it so close! : ) 

Happy New Pass Year!

We went up to DL this past weekend for dinner and to renew my pass! Even though we have had passes since before we were dating, it's still always really exciting to me when we renew and I know we have another year of fun ahead! It's something I am so grateful for, and never take for granted how lucky we are to have it so close to us, and are able to go so often. Such great family-friendly and uplifting fun! : ) 

We had dinner at Cafe Orleans and tried their pumpkin creme brûlée for dessert. It was amazing. 

OH!! And this fell on one of the two days of cool fall weather we have had, so we got to bundle up a bit! That was one of the best parts, I love going on a cool crisp night! : ) 

Such a fun date night! : ) 

Conference weekend

Conference weekend was really fun! I always look forward to having new favorite talks to listen to over and over on my Mormon Channel app! Such inspiration and comfort you just can't find anywhere else! : ) 

On friday we FINALLY visited a pumpkin patch! I have been looking forward to doing this for years, but we have always ended up being too busy, and the time for pumpkin patches slips away. Well, this year we found a beautiful patch where we could even pick them from the vine. I'm not sure why, but I LOVE pumpkin patches! So I couldn't help but to take advantage of finally being there and it being so empty---and got some fun shots of the two of us. I really love how they came out! : ) 

So, so pretty! 

We spent a good hour or so just slowly wondering around, taking photos and enjoying our surroundings....and searching for the perfect pumpkins.

It was a lot of fun to wheel around our selected pumpkins!

It was such a blast and such a great find! I think we'll be heading back more often for the different crops! 

On Sat we ran up to Disneyland for just a bit before the Priesthood session to check out the Halloween carnival back in Big Thunder Ranch. It was pretty cute. Loved the candy corn colored cotton candy, and the carved pumpkins! : )

I went to get a photo with skeleton Goofy, and he posed for a sec and then took my hand and took off with me in tow! He brought me over to a fortune telling game and spun the wheel for me....my fortune was something about spiders, haha! Go figure. ; )

Then we rushed home so Brody could pick up some of his Young Men for a pizza dinner before going to the Priesthood session of Conference. : ) 

Sunday morning I made some items I found on Pinterest (it's hard not to get somewhat sucked into that site, haha). I made "Birds Nests" (hash browns, eggs, bacon and cheese) and Cinnamon roll waffles! Both were delicious, and will be made again! It was the perfect food to snack on while curled up watching Conference! : ) 

Football in the Fall

We've been to a couple Woodbridge High School football games this season, to watch some of the youth in our ward play (ether on the team, in the band, or the dance teams). It's a lot of fun to go and I love that Brody really wants to get out and support the kids he's over (past and present). 

And both games, we won! : ) 

Last flight

Several weeks ago the space shuttle Endeavor took its last "flight" over CA, before it went to its new home at the California Science Museum in LA. One of the fly over spots on it's CA tour was Disneyland. My Mom and I went up to the parks and had a really nice breakfast at Storytellers Cafe, which is apart of the Grand Californian hotel, and then went into the park to get a glimpse of the flyover! 

There were many different stories on where the fly over would take place, and in fact, the media was set up in DCA and ended up being faced the wrong way---most missed the flyover all together. We took our chances with a spot right in front of the castle. We felt pretty good about our spot, because there were official Disney cameras crews up on the roofs of Main Street facing the castle. 

As we were standing in front of the castle, the park voiceover came on and announced that the flyover was about to happen (but we still didn't know from where), the area around the castle, statue and up Main Street was packed with onlookers and their cameras ready to go! All of a sudden from the left of the castle the plane comes flying over the crowd nice and slow, the crowd erupted the cheers and clapping and for a moment there were chants of, "U-S-A, U-S-A". It was quite a moment to be apart of! So, so glad we braved some crowds to be a part of this historic moment.

I love the shot of it flying over Space Mountain...seems pretty fitting. : ) 

Finding Nemo

Back in September(?) Brody and I went to the newly remolded Island Theaters in Fashion Island, to see Finding Nemo in 3D. This theater is amazing!! A couple bucks more than a typical theater, but we know we love the movie and decided to make a nice date night out of it. 

When you walk in to buy your tickets, you pick out your seats on a chart similar to picking out seats on an airplane. Then you can order dinner, candy/snacks and hand scooped gelato ice cream. When you order dinner items, they make it to order and a waiter brings it to your seat. It's amazing and the food was much better than expected (I still crave that chili sometimes). The seats are all leather (which gives the theater an amazing aroma), HUGE with big wood table like arm rests with lots of foot room. I could sit Indian style very comfortably. : ) 

It was a Wednesday night, so it was VERY empty. Just us and then part way into the film another family showed up. It was such a fun date night, SO fun to see the movie again after so long and we are excited to go back every once in a while. : ) 

Light up the halo!

Sept 18th, ended up being our last game of the season. We had another game or two, but work got really busy for Brody with sales managers in town and such---it almost felt like he was out of town for about two weeks there. But for being our last game, it was sure a great one!! We killed the Texas Rangers 11 to 3, scoring 8 of the runs in the 4th! Thanks to the Angels scoring at least 10 runs, we got free tacos that weekend at Chronic Taco for showing our game ticket. : ) 

It was such a fun season and we have really enjoyed our season tickets and nights at the ball park!
