Lakers Vs Jazz

We went to our 2nd Lakers Vs Jazz game recently. Our first was in UT, when a friend couldn't make the game and offered them to us. It's kind of fun how it has worked out, being able to see them play both in UT and CA.

We had the most beautiful sunset along the way, great seats for deciding that day to go, and they won! It was such a fun night! : ) 

After the game we stopped by our favorite sweet spot, Yogurtland. Were we made our own Spumoni ice cream. So yummy! 

First Fall night at the Parks!

We went up to the parks tonight for a quick little trip. For the first time in a long time, it was chilly enough to get our first hot chocolates of the season from the Starbucks. Mine was Salted Carmel, mmmmmmm. : ) 

We meet up with our friend Maverick who was in town with a friend of his from OR. : ) 

Noticed that Christmas was starting to creep in at the parks! Yay! : ) 

Was told by a CM (cast member), that the snow globe with the blue background and snowman in it, is a replica of one from a Pixar short film. You can see here {Knick Knack}

We went to Cars Land for a bit after the park had closed and hung out while the crowds disappeared. It was so fun to be in a practically empty Cars Land. : )  

As we were walking out, the HUGE crowd that was watching World of Color was walking out down the main drag...so we took a turn into the totally empty and quiet Bugs Land to loop our way out : )

Pumpkins, Paparazzi and Evil Goats

This was SUCH a fun day!! I had a show on one night while working, and after it TMZ came on...they were talking this pumpkin patch in Hollywood that all the stars go to (and then showed a ton of star photos from this year already). My curiosity took over and I knew we had to go check it out! : ) 

It was SUCH a cute patch! Set right in the middle of the city, on a corner lot. Space is extremely limited, so they offer valet parking, there are homes, business and a really cute little coffee shop by it with beautiful outdoor seating. Right away I was pretty charmed with its city setting and feel! We walked in onto endless floors of loose hay, and came to the entrance where we quickly noticed the Paparazzi area that was fenced off to keep them in one area. So funny! Then we payed an entrance fee that then went toward the cost of our pumpkins. 

They had pony rides, petting Zoo, picture spots, lots of different kinds of pumpkins in ALL sizes, face painting, bounce house, slide, a guy who carves your pumpkin for you, painting area, face painter, food and more! It was awesome! The only star we saw was the girl who played Punky Bruster back in the 80's and her family. We also know her as the girlfriend of Joey on FRIENDS who hit him too hard when she got excited, haha. 

After the patch, we headed to The Grove to look around and get some lunch. My parents told us about this place that supposedly has "Americas best pancake" (that's quite a claim). We had fun exploring The Grove, finding Dylan's Candy Bar and a petting Zoo with an evil plotting goat (story and video below), and we did eat at Du-par's with the pancakes! And i'll tell you, it REALLY is the worlds BEST pancake!! SO, SO good! : ) 

Ok, so I kind of wanted to do the petting Zoo at the pumpkin patch, but forgot. So when we saw this on at the Grove I happily went in with my little cone of food. I quickly found out that these animals didn't like or was sick of the food pelites. By the time I got to the end I was a little discouraged, haha. I tried one more goat that seemed like he wanted food. I put some in my hand (this was all pre video) and leaned down to offer it to him forgetting about the cone in my other hand. He went right for the cone, took a bite out of it, head butted the food out of it and then stalked me for the cone....I finally gave him the cone and thats were the video starts. hahaha... 

This LA day was a BLAST! And we are ready for more!! : ) 

Mickeys Halloween Party (Round 1)

We got to go to Mickey's Trick or treat party at Disneyland this year with Brody's family. It was such a fun night of family, rides, lots of candy, costumes, and the best Halloween atmosphere. : ) We went as Jessise and Buzz in spanish mode from Toy Story 3. The rose is from the little spanish dance they did as he was in Spanish mode. Brody already had the sweatshirt, and I painted a shirt for my costume. 

Love Main Street during these parties! How the light it up with the Halloween music is one of my favorite things.

Meet Storm Troopers, Rode Ghost Galaxy...we tried to do like a tango move, but keeping that rose in my mouth was a little harder than I thought at that speed and I ended up looking a little sick, haha! 

We hit more Treat Trails, rode Splash Mountain, and Brody's Dad took Levi and Marley (our niece and nephew) to meet the Storm Troopers as well. : ) 

We had a great night and are so happy his parents had this idea!! It was so fun having everyone together at DL....but we did miss AD (Brody's sister). 

Chalk Art & Halloween Screams

For Limited time Magic in Downtown Disney they had a chalk art festival. It was amazing to see what everyone did. It was fun to walk down toward the parks and see on masterpiece after the next. Here are a few of our favorites.

Some of them had an area to stand where you could best view the illusion. If you looked at the above art from the side, it would be very long and stretched out.

Normally the Halloween Screams firework show is only for the paid Halloween parties. But the night before, the Santa Ana winds were too high that they couldn't do the show, and had to do the show the next night for regular guests. This happened to us last year at our party (we missed them at BOTH our Halloween parties last year). So this year when I got word that they couldn't do them the night before, we went up to see if they would do them on a normal day like last year, and they did!! I was SO excited! : )

Since we recently saw Mr.Toad (my first time seeing it), I wanted to do the ride again, since it would all make sense now, haha. It was really fun!

Again, the parks got pretty crowded with Fireworks ending and Fantasmic starting and ending, the crowds were really on the move. So we hung out in this little area by Big Thunder Mountain, where they have all the Day of the Dead set up. We sat across from this on the little stage they have and Brody explained what this holiday was all about. Kinda cool, since I had no idea. : ) 

Then we capped off the night with Haunted Mansion!

Every time we pass this, we go, "ZERO!!" We have for years. I don't remember how it started, but I love it...and I love Zero. : ) 

Always love coming out of the present room and seeing this sight. : ) 

We got Brodys favorite again, but this time, it had a 13 on it instead of the ?. That was pretty fun. 

I love the Halloween tree! I wish they dressed this tree up for Christmas too. 

Movie night in the Opera House!!

We went to an AP movie event in the Main Street Opera house, showing The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad. I hadn't seen ether of them, but Brody had and said they were good. I was so excited to see some new-to-me movies AND in the Opera House!

They were both SO cute! I loved them and loved seeing them for the first time around Halloween at the parks! So fun!!
