"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experiences."

Easter

This California Adventure did a big Easter Egg hunt through out the entire park. You could get a map on BVS, it had the general area of the egg and once you found it, you'd put the sticker on that part of the map and then show it at the end for a prize. : )
Can you spot some of the eggs?

Afterwards we went for a nice Easter dinner with my parents to the Chart House in Dana Point.
Such a beautiful location and GREAT food! The photo below is the view from our table. : )
Beautiful sunset and a beautifully yummy dessert...who could ask for more?
On Sunday we had Easter baskets, We brought Bunny bread to dinner and we gathered around the table with the Easter story eggs. Read and discussed them.
Such a great Easter! We are so blessed with great family and friends! : )

Angels 5K

We ran the Angels 5K this year....I think it was Easter weekend. I still had my sprained ankle from my Disneyland incident, but it did ok. I ended up having to walk a lot of it, but I'm SO glad I did. It was SO much fun!!
Toward the end we got to run down on the field, go into the dugout and be up on the jumbo-tron!! As Angels fans, this was amazing!! It was such a fun run and I hope we get to do it again next year as well! : )
(I think you can click on the photo to make it larger. There are a lot of photos in there. And thats not all of them, haha)

Happy Birthday Brody!

On Brody's actual birthday, we went up to the parks to celebrate!
I love how it says, "Happy Birthday" on the screen when they scan your pass. The sweet Cast Member let me snag this photo, I love it! : )

Since his Birthday was right around Easter this year, we got our map and did another Easter egg hunt in DCA. These are so much! This also rekindled my love for Peeps! haha. I can't explain it, they are so good!
We also got to meet Carl from UP!! Such fun events Disneyland is doing this year for "Limited time Magic".

Also for Easter, they had a bunny hop with all of the Disney Bunnies, Mickey and Minnie and the Dapper Dans. It was so cute, and I joined in! haha

DCA has the BEST soft serve ice cream!

We meet the nicest Cast Member who let up sneak into such a great viewing spot for World of Color! It was the first time we had seen it in such a long time. It was the PERFECT ending to our visit! : )
<3 p="">

We also went out to dinner with my parents to Claim Jumper, and they gave Brody a little birthday cupcake. : )

Happiest Birthday to the man of my dreams!! I can't even imagine my life without you and all the fun and laughs we have! Love you so much more everyday!!
(no, I love you more) ; )

Cash in the winnings

Let's see last year I won a drawing at the LA Golf Show for a free two night stay with two rounds of golf each! With Brody's work being so busy, it was hard to find time to get a way and use it. We ended up cashing it in right before it expired, which ended up being Brody's birthday week! Could that be more perfect? No, no it couldn't. haha : )

We show up and they have one of their deluxe accommodations ready for us, with a beautiful course view  and near the pool and a lovely bottle of sparkling apple cider for his birthday! We left our stuff, and hit the course!! : )
This breakfast was amazing!! The bacon was honey/brown sugar coated and I still crave it. haha. And everything else was just as amazing. It was so peaceful to eat out on the patio too.
Perfect golf fuel ; )

The next day I joined in and did my first 18!! It was so much fun and I did SO much better than I was expecting! On hole #2 I got it right up on the green! It was pretty exciting!
(these photos are not in order by day. I just jumbled all golf photos together)
The course was SO beautiful!
They also had such a great lunch on the go! Which started our POP Chips addiction.

Hole #2! I also killed the tee! haha!
I still love watching and taking photos of Brody playing...but at lest now I know I can join in without it taking days to finish it all. haha.
Pretending I know how to read my green and line up my putt! haha. And of course Brody is natural.
We adventured into Old Town for dinner and found just what we were hopping for, a really good local mexican food restaurant. This one was called The Bank. It is an old converted bank, that also happened to be the first recorded bank robbery in Riverside County. The food was amazing! : )
Brody's birthday bubbly : )
Our last day we explored he area and went into Wine Country. It was so beautiful and fun to look around in!

We loved our little cartoon map of the area! haha

We found this lake...I think it was about 20-25 miles from where we stayed? It was so much fun to explore the area and all the beauty it had to offer.
Such a fun win and SUCH a perfect way to spend Brody's birthday! He deserves all this and SO much more! It was such a blast!!  : )

"Andie down!"

We ran up to the parks for a bit a couple weeks ago on a friday night. We were going to get in a couple of our favorite rides, the fireworks, get an ice cream or something and then head home.

Here we are all happy on Main Street heading to Star Tours....

.....and then here was the scene about an hour later after riding Pirates! haha. Just a bit different!
It was the last ride of the night and just before closing (I was almost out injury free). The CM asked if anyone in our boat wanted to ride again, but we were going to get off and shop on Main Street. I got off ok, and then realized that I left my water bottle on the boat. I hopped back in real quick to get it (standing on the bench) and then quickly remembered that the boat was going to head back out soon. For some reason thinking I should get off fast because he might have already sent the boat go (obviously not thinking I would jump back on.) I hopped back out (a lot of not so good split sec decisions. Oh well) and my right ankle rolled under me and I went RIGHT down, HARD! It was a total shock, and hurt SO, SO badly!
The cast members were so great. Sent for the nurse right away. She and security were there shortly after with a wheel chair for me. I tried to walk out on my own, but it ended up hurting too bad to even sit my foot down on the rest of the wheel chair. I had to hold it up off of it.
Totally unlike us, we really didn't get as many photos of this whole thing as I would have liked. Just shows I was really in pain. haha. But when we got near First Aid, I quickly came to and told Brody we should get something of being wheeled in. So he got the 10 sec video below. Haha. It's better than nothing! : )

Hanging out in First Aid with my ankle on the rocks!

My view : )
But It was kind of fun to see a part of the parks we hadn't experienced before.

They had Brody go get the car and bring it around the 15 min parking area on Harbor, and a security guard wheeled me out! This was my view done Main Street at about 12:30am, and then the bus area going to the car, haha!
And this was what my Saturday looked like. Giving it plenty of rest, ice and elevation! : )
Now a couple weeks later, it's alllllmost looking normal again!
What an adventure!

Disneyland 10K!!

We signed up for the Disneyland 10K a month or so back! We are so excited!!
I can't believe how fast it sells out!! I watched it sell out in before noon the day they went on sale. Luckily they had AP days before hand to sign up. : ) Im so excited to train and run this! We would have tried for the half, but its on a Sunday. Plus, I think it's good I take smaller steps into running. : )
We went to Road Runner to get properly fitted for shoes, since we both have things that hurt pretty much right away when we run. It was awesome! They did a very complete test on what our feet need, and matched us up with the right shoes and custom insoles to help with the pains.

We both ended up with the Newtons! Never would have picked them based on looks, but they feel AMAZING! And I didn't have my usual shin pains while running!! I'm so excited for training! : )
Training: Day 1
Out on the beautiful trails! With my supportive and loving trainer! : )

So far so good!
And once my ankle heals a bit more, i'll be back out hitting the trails!
I'll be updating more on our (well, mostly my) training and adventures in getting to the 10K. : )
