"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experiences."

The Errand

Months ago Brody was asked to fill a roll in our Stakes play, 'The Errand'. He was a little apprehensive to commit to it because he is already super busy with work, school and more---but he decided to go ahead and accept the role, and we are so happy he did!

The play is about one man's journey back to the Gospel and the Angels among us who are sent to help us through trials, big and small. It was such a beautiful play! And the music was amazing---we are still finding ourselves singing the songs from it. : )

Brody did SUCH a great job!! His role was the main characters non-member friend. It was so much fun seeing him up on stage! I was SO very proud, and saw all 6 performances (and each time I saw it, I teared up, it is such a touching play. I can't wait until we get our DVD)! : )

(some more scene's from the play. Click to make the photos larger)

The 2nd scene Brody was in! :)

I volunteered to help with tickets and ended up doing it for 4 of the shows. It was fun to be a part of it all in a small way. We always had a nice big line about an hour before they would let people into be seated, and a lot of them were our regulars. : )
After the final performance they had a nice cast party till almost midnight! : ) We just LOVE our stake and ward, we are so lucky to have such amazing and talented people in our lives!
We had so many of our dear family and friends come to support Brody, it meant a lot to us! Even Brody's parents & Sister tried to make the effort to come from AZ to see him, we missed them, but so excited to show them the DVD, and see them all for Brody's Graduation weekend!!
Thank you all so much for coming out!! We love you! : )

collage of fun....

Lately my head has been full of all the fun things we have going on, and getting excited for summer adventures too (and try to fit in some low key things too)! :) Life is oh so good!!
And here are just a few!
(this is what I imagie the inside of my brain to look like) haha : )

Home runs & big hair

This past weekend we got to be a part of the Angels opening week, and see the first Big Bang Friday of the season! What could be better on a Friday night (besides SanO)?
It was so good to be back under the big A.

It wasn't the greatest game and we didn't win this one....but there were some exciting almost come backs!

So happy it's baseball season again!!

(( bang))

Saturday night we got to see Hairspray (another one in our season ticket package). It was such a fun play to watch! The catchy muisc, bright colors, fun dancing and humor---it was a blast, and one that we would love to see again! It was hard not to get up and dance! : )

Happy Easter!!

We had a fun long weekend. It was a great way to end our Spring Break. Brody got to go golfing for the first time in over a year! It was a nice day, little chilly, but it was still super busy out there. It took us almost 5 hours to do about 12 holes.
It was really fun to be back out on the course with Brody again!

There were squirrels everywhere. At one point there was one right next to me, looking up at me, and acting like he was going to crawl up into my cart and search me for food.
Brody played really well, he said MUCH better than he expected for not touching his clubs in so long! I am glad we were able to go, it's always a lot of fun!
I like this hole, the sand trap looks kind like a heart.
We ended up spending about 6 hours at Disneyland, we got there in the morning and time just flew by. It was a blast! : )

We picked up some of these yummy freshly made chocolate fudge eggs for Easter.

Brody letting the Toys out of their chest!

On our favorite ride, Pirates of the Caribbean!

We heard that in the 'Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh', they have some of the characters from the old 'Country Bear Jamboree' that used to be in this spot, up on the wall right after the "heffalumps & woozles" room. And it's true! Here they are! It's fun how they "hide" things like this on rides!

haha....I had to put this up : )

(Took this mid-ride, came out really pretty)

One of the best things about Disneyland this time of year, are the beautiful tees that are in bloom right now! Everywhere you look, there are these colorful trees......and flowers! : )

Brody also won a Tony Hawk prize pack! He saw Hawk was doing a 'Treasure Hunt' on Twitter this weekend, so we followed it and found out that there was one prize in Mission Viejo; we were curious to see what it was all about, so we thought we would drive down there, and see how many people would show up......we got there, and JUST missed getting it! Talked with a guy whose wife was also helping him out, and then we went on our way.....thinking that was that.

Then a tweet came in on my phone about one in Costa Mesa, so we hopped in the car to give it a shot! We pulled up to the location and Brody got out while I parked---and he just happened to be the first one there, and WON!! We were SO surprised! The wife of the guy that we met at the first location sent us a congratulations message from the both of them. We thought that was nice. What a fun 'Easter egg' hunt!

Brody with Joe, the guy you had to see to get the prize. Joe was SO excited to see what was in the backpack, he was opening it before Brody had a chance to! haha

The official photo that we had to send to Twitter to let everyone know it has been found!! : )

The whole prize!! : )

Our Sunday Morning....laziness in PJ's, Yummy breakfast, lots of Easter basket candy, & lots of General Conference! :)

Candy & all other things aside---We are very mindful of the reason for Easter and are so thankful to our loving Savior, Jesus Christ. For His ultimate sacrifice for us, His ministry and the opportunity He gave us to have such a wonderful life, with so many things that fill our hearts with gratitude each and every day! We are so blessed to have the knowledge of the gospel in our lives! Happy Easter!! We hope you had a wonderful weekend! : )
