"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experiences."

Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a fun Thanksgiving, full of family & good food! The day before Thanksgiving we went to Disneyland for breakfast. We got there and they checked us in, took our photo and then we walked into the biggest all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet ever! They had an omelet station, french toast, pancakes, Mickey waffles and so much more! Also, there were about 10+ characters dressed up for Christmas and would come over to your table and do funny little things and take photos with you! For anyone who has not done this yet, you won't be sorry!

After breakfast we went on some rides & rode the horse drawn trolly. The photo of us on C.A Screamin---I am trying to take a photo of us on the ride......ya......it came out about as well as you're thinking it would!

That night we also went to the Orange Traffic circle for dinner with the fam. It was all decorated for Christmas and you feel like you have taken a hugh step back in time. It is so charming! We ate at Watson's Drug store---if you ever go, you can't miss this place and there malts!
On Thanksgiving morning we got up nice and early to be at the park at 7:30am, for Turkey Bowl. It was a nice cold rainy morning, but the guys didn't mind---they played for almost 2 hours! Good thing we still had an umbrella in the car for me and my camera! The 2nd photo in below is Brody getting a touch down!! Whoo Hoo!!
After the game we came home to watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade while getting ready to head over and help out with the big feast!
After a yummy feast and some foot ball, we all headed to the LA Auto Show! It is always so much fun to see all the new cars, and all the concept's and to just sit in and explore so many different cars! We love it!

Friday morning we got up at like 5:30am to brave South Coast Plaza and do some 'Black Friday' shopping with my Mom and Sister. We had so much fun being a part of all the madness, and finding some good deals!
On Saturday, Brody and I got some hot chocolate and went to Fashion Island to look at the Christmas tree before we meet up with the family to pick out a Christmas tree. We had some fun picking it out, and then decorating it tonight before Lauren goes back to school!
Hope everyone had a fun and safe Thanksgiving!!

Fun at the beach!

This Saturday we went down to the beach and my Mom took some (well close to 200) photos for our Christmas card! It was so much fun and she did an amazing job! I love candids---photos that are natural, loose & fun and not too staged/posed where you stand/sit in a way you normally never would---She is the best at that, and we just could not be happier with how they came out! It was so cold/windy and the beach was full of other people taking their photos--but you can't tell any of that from the photos! I Love it! Here are just a few of our favorites at the moment (it changes a lot). =)

Thank you again Mom! We ♥ you!

PS- Brody's league soccer team is #1 in their league! They have only lost 1 game this season! This past Saturday was the first game of the play offs---and they won (well they killed them, it was like 3 to 15)!! =) They are doing so great! It is really fun to watch---and Brody is still the goalie through out the whole game, every Saturday! =)

Solid

Last night Brody and I went the to driving range with our friend Mike and his little daughter Abby (who cheered us on). It has been far too long since we have been, and it was SO much fun! Of course the guys did great---and to my surprise I did really well too! I made some real solid contact and it went nice and far! It was so much fun, I love that he gets to go out and do what he loves!!--with Brody's busy schedule it is hard to find the time to go, but with school coming to an end I am sure we will have more time to go! I am excited to get more comfortable with it and maybe be able to go out on the course with out it taking 2 days to play a round ☺---but I still love driving the golf cart and taking photos, ether way I love going golfing with him!

( As you can see, I hit very gracefully---on toe! ☺ ....and isn't little Abby so cute!?)

PS- If some of you are confused by the Pyzam logos on the blog. It is because there is a turkey wondering around our blog---sadly only those who use Internet Explorer can see him! ...don't you I.E users feel special!? =)

{6 in 2 on a Friday night}

This week we had RJ in town from Schonbek in New York. He spent the week running all over CA seeing lot's of accounts!
After a long week we finished it off with a trip to Disneyland! This was RJ's first time there and unfortunately we only had two hours to show him the magic of Disneyland before he had to catch his flight back to New York. We got into the park at 6pm and I stopped to talk with a 'Cast member' & explained we only had two hours and asked her if she had any 'Fast passes' so the we could maybe get 2 or 3 rides in before he had to leave (since it was a Friday night we were expecting it to be pretty busy). She said she didn't have any or she would have given them to us, but that the lines have only been about 10 to 15 mins long! Sure enough it was the emptiest I have seen the park in such a long time!!
RJ loved being at the park and proved to be our kind of people by asking if we wouldn't mind forgoing dinner and just going on rides (he really wanted to make the best of his time there since he didn't know when we would be back), of course we didn't mind!! Amazingly enough we got on 6 rides in two hours flat! We thought that was pretty good! We did, Pirates, Indiana Jones, Haunted Mansion, Big Thunder Mountain, Matterhorn and Buzz Lightyear---those are rides that usually have pretty long lines, just last Friday night Indiana was a 75min wait & we waited maybe 20min. It just couldn't have been a better night to go!

RJ and Minnie (notice his 'First visit' button) =)
On Indiana Jones
RJ Drove

The guys on Big Thunder Mountain
Us on Matterhorn---we haven't been on it in such a long time & last night reminded us why! It is such a rough ride.
"Buzz Lightyear" to the rescue!

We had such a fun night sharing something we love so much, and we are so happy that he loved his time at Disneyland!!

Oh weekends, how you come and go....

I love weekends (but who doesn't), especially since Brody is so busy with work and school (he's up until about midnight and up at about 5am everyday doing school or work! I am very proud of him), it's really the only time we have together that does not involve those two things---and we do our best to make the best of that time!
This weekend we spent some time at Disneyland & to my surprise they already started decorating it for Christmas! It was SUCH a fun surprise for us and I was so excited---it is by far the best time of year to go (Halloween is pretty good, but there is nothing like Christmas)---Christmas is so fun and romantic with all the lights and everything, and then after the Holidays is the little window of time where the park is not all packed with people, such fun!

We are going back on the 21st, when it will be totally decorated---So I will add more photos then.
The beautiful snow capped castle! They were getting ready to film a Christmas show for Disney Channel the next day so there was a stage and some pillars in front of the castle. It was so fun to get a (unexpected) taste of the Holidays!! If you have a pass, anytime after the 21st it will be in full Holiday swing---don't miss out! =)
Saturday morning Brody had his soccer game. This week neither team had enough people so they had to four fit , but still played a game with the people they had there! It was a really fun game to watch, everyone just kind of goofed off!

More photos from the game here!

That night Brody went to the USC game with a friend from the ward. He had so much fun--and sent these photos to my phone! =) (sorry they got all grainy, not sure why....they look fine on my phone)

(Don't forget we have links to our photo albums on the left hand tool bar under 'Our Albums', you can always click it and see new photos of the Soccer team, or random things we are up to)

2. My family: They are just so fun and easy to be with!
3. Art/anything creative. I love coming up with little projects and putting all my energy into creating something and then moving onto another project....
4. That I have not died my hair in over a year! It is so so nice not to think about the color...just little trims! Love it! =)

3 Fears:
1. Spiders!! They seem to always pop out of know where to freak me out! They can smell fear.
2. Flying in planes
3. Eating anything fishy...but I'm going to work on that....
4. The Tikki Room at Disneyland....

3 Current obsessions:
1. Disneyland---I can admit it! =)
2. Cooking--We have been eating out less & it has been so much fun to try new things and cook together more often.
3. Music & my iTunes library

3 Surprising facts:
1. I love to clean and organize
2. I can only eat Skittles in twos
3. Ever since my "sinus issue" over a year ago, I can't watch the TV show 'Grey's Anatomy' with out it giving my nightmares....

Well I know not everyone likes tags---So to who ever wants to do this tag....I tag YOU! Have fun! =)

6 Quirks

Well I was Tagged again---This time by Alexandra
In this tag you list 6 quirky things about you:

1. I ALWAYS have a song going through my head, and most of the time it's 'Jingle Bells'---no matter what time of year!
2. Candy's like Skittles, Resses, Swedish fish & Butterfinger---I have a certain way of eating them and can't eat them any other way!
3. I always forget whether or not I locked the car. I always go back to it, or ask Brody if he remembers if I locked it.
4. When it is cold outside it usually makes me want something cold like Ice Cream over something like Hot Chocolate.
5. I always have to have my toe nails painted, and if they chip, I will re-do them.
6. I love making the room all chilly and then snuggling up with a big blanket. Lot's of them!

Like the last Tag, whoever wants to share their Quirks---I tag you! =)

Election Day--The last stand

This morning we got up and out the door early and hit the streets at 7am to met up with members of our ward and community to take one last public stand for Prop 8---hoping to get those votes! It was cold and a little rainy, but like Saturday, we got mostly a great response. Some people were SO excited to see us out there, and even thanked us for being there! It has been fun to be apart of things--we wouldn't have wanted to miss it! Now we can only wait until tonight to see how it goes!
Part of our semi-rainy day crowd!
Getting the word out! This guy had a question for one of our sign holders, about what Prop 8 was.

Brody and the guys----waving at our supporters!

Yes on 8 Sign Event!

Today we were apart of the 'Yes on 8' sign event! It was so much fun! Brody's good friend Brad flew in from UT to be apart of all the action. There were about 250 that lined the area of Jamboree and Barranca. In the 3 hours we were all there, the majority of cars that passed us were waving, giving us the thumbs up and cheering us on, honking---and of course we had the occasional drive by that was a big 'No on 8'---but it was really encouraging to be out in the community with everyone (not just people from our church) and feel the support. It was consent horn honking! We met some great people too, and got to see some people from our old ward. One couple said that they didn't expect to have so much fun with (and like) "a bunch of Mormons". They were a really nice couple, and ended up only hanging out with us Mormons. =)  It is neat to think that whether or not this passes (hoping of course that it does pass) that our group might have made such a good impression on these people that it could lead them to find out more about our church. We had a blast, and it felt really good to get out there and do our part to support something we believe in! We are going to try to do another one before Brad goes back to UT.

Just a small part of our crowd!
It has been fun to have Brad in town! We are so glad he was able to come! But of course we miss Andrea! =)
This guy is YES on 8! Two thumbs up!!
This lady was on the 'No on 8' side (we had about 6 of them, among the 250 of us). She took one of our signs and defaced it, and used it in front of us...well our fine Police force took care of her!
More photos of our day can be found on Our Albums Site

Also Brody played in two soccer games today! One bright and early this morning with the guys from our ward. and then after the sign event with his league---which in both, he scored a goal! =) His league team won 15 to 2! It was a fun game, and the team is doing so great! Photos of the games can be seen at The Animal Albums
