"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experiences."

Utah Road Trip Re-Cap!

This past week we headed off to Utah for spring break! It was part work and all fun!! We just love road trips, and we really love our UT trips (the drive is really fun and really pretty). It was a nice simple relaxing trip, to just hang out and take a little break (well and do some work in between)--it was perfect and so much fun! =) We took a million photos, but I won't go over all of them (it would take forever), so I will just do a small re-cap of a couple parts of the trip! =) We set out Sat at about 6:30am and got to Provo around dinner, and were lucky enough to meet up with Brad & Andrea at Rumbi (yum)! After dinner we got to go see Lauren's apartment at BYU and see my parents (who were in Utah for a wedding).

It snowed pretty good on Sunday & we had to clear the snow off the car several times (this was the Murano's first time in the snow & it did really well)--and snap off some good sized icicles! =)It was really fun to be in the snow again, we had a blast with it!
Monday night we ate the Lion House Pantry in the Joesph Smith Building. They had the best sandwiches, it was sort of like a five star Subway--you got to pick the bread, meat and so on. From the table we sat at we could see right into the room where we had our wedding reception. That was really fun for us!! After we ate we walked around in our Empire room! =)
After dinner we headed out and walked around the temple grounds! Temple square is such a special place for us and it is always so much fun for us to be on Temple Square & reminisce about our wedding day! We can't be in Salt Lake with out a trip to the Temple! =)

After dinner it was time to meet up with Brad & Andrea again for the Jazz Game!! We just love going to sports events! It was so much fun to be at the game with thousands of other fans cheering for their team & we were lucky enough to be there on a night they won! It was a great game and we had a blast! It is always so much fun to be with B&A. =)

While we at one of our many Cafe Rio stops, we found a frozen yogurt place next door called 'Spoon Me'---I guess you can eat the spoon too---it is made of corn starch and tastes...well...pretty much as you would expect a corn starch spoon to taste....not so good (but they are good for spoon fights when you like to goof off)! =)
What's a road trip with out good food?! We hit up all our favorites! including Rumbi and a new favorite called 'Five Guys' (a burger place).
We stopped by Cabela's to see if they had a North Face jacket that Brody has been wanting....and stopped off to see the fishes....theres always something so relaxing about aquariums!
We also did some shooting in their shooting gallery!
...and Brody found just what he was looking for---It was a successful shopping trip! =)
We got to see Lauren four times on our trip! We just loved spending time with her!! We did dinner a couple times and I got to have breakfast with her the day we left! She and I went to Wal*Mart and for some reason we decided to see what Squirmals were all about.....well even owning them we can't tell you what they are about....but we can tell you that we ended up laughing at them so hard we cried! =)
Another favorite part of the trip was hiking around this area in Saint George! Brody drove me to it in the evening before dinner and we spent some time there....

We had so much fun exploring & enjoying the outdoors, it was so beautiful---I just loved it!
Since we didn't have much time the night before to get to the top of the rock, we came back the next morning!
We did our semi-annual ring cleaning while we were in Salt Lake, and our jeweler usually let's us pick out some fun stuff free, and he also gave us these funky sun glasses...so we had some fun with them while we were on top of the rock!! =)

Brody's were green and mine were hot pink, but my hair kinda covered that part up!
On the way home we stopped in Las Vegas to see a hotel that had an 80 or 90 inch crystal light that was made by Schonbek for the Plant Hollywood hotel!
Also we were lucky enough to have caught the last day of the actual Transformers that they used in the movie! That was really fun to see! =)
....and when we got home I got an idea for some cupcakes....so I made these little birds nests! =)
It was such a fun trip, we loved every min of it! We really loved being able to see our family and friends in UT that we don't get to see often---it was a simple and fun trip, just what we wanted! =)

Have you been watching Martha Stewart? Those cupcakes are darling! (I might have to borrow that idea for visiting teaching!)
