"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experiences."

Halloween Time!
It's Halloween Time at Disneyland again! If you have a pass or have been thinking about going, now is a great time to go! Both parks are all decked out for the holiday. Here are just a few photos of what it looks like now! We went last night (the first night it was decorated for Halloween!) and we even ran into Shaun there--It was a fun night! I love when Disneyland gets all dressed up for a Holiday!!

Mmmmm Diddy Riese....
Recently I have been hearing a lot about this place called 'Diddy Riese'. It is an ice cream/cookie place....that also has hot dogs and such, but is really known for ice cream sandwiches! I looked it up and it happened to be right by the Westwood Expo, which we have been going to for years, and this fantastic ice cream sandwich place has been hiding out right near it all this time (well it opened in 1983--so well before my Expo days)! Today after Brody and I were done at Expo we stopped by to see what this ice cream place was all about. It was soooooo good! We shared a nice big ice cream cookie sandwich for just $1.50 (single cookies are .35) ! We loved it---it's too bad it is all the way up in the Westwood Village---but now we know where we are going to go for a sweet treat when we are in LA. If you are in the LA area stop by and try one for your self (if you see a line, it's ok, it moves fast!).

It all starts today...
Today is the official first day of Fall & marks the start of the greatest....oh, about 3 months of the whole year! I just love this time of year when the weather starts to get all cool and crisp, you get to pull out all your warm sweaters, fun scarves and heat up the hot chocolate! It is a very cozy time of year. I am excited to go to a pumpkin patch, carve pumpkins and spend Halloween at Disneyland again! Then before we know it, come the great seasons of giving thanks, giving and a time to reflect on a great year and look to forward, full of hope to a new year---Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years. There are so many reasons that make this time of year my absolute favorite, but if I list them all this would be the worlds longest post! I can't wait to see all the Christmas decorations go up, hear the music and pick out our tree, and maybe find some snow this year! We also have lot's of birthdays and anniversary's this time of year, including ours! I love having our anniversary around Christmas, it's such a romantic time of year! =)
There is so much to look forward to and it all starts today---the first day of Fall!

Go Animals!
I have been taking photos at Brody's Saturday soccer games for quite some time now, and people on the team started asking if I would take some of them too (of course I was mainly taking photos of Brody), I thought I would post the site in case some of you would like a look into the games! I will be adding more from last season soon...a batch is uploading right now and should be up by tomorrow! Enjoy!
PS- The Album 'Last Season Album 1' was taking by my Mom (the pro) and her awesome fancy camera! Mine are all by my little point and shoot. =)

Labor Day Weekend
On Thursday night Brody and I went to the Angels game! I love going to games, and we are so glad we didn't miss this one. It started off bad with the Rangers getting 3 runs in the 1st, but then our Angels got it back by taking back the lead in the 7th and winning!! It was so exciting when they started to pick it back up! The Rally Monkey was out in full force (and who doesn't love that little Monkey) and when they took the lead we were all on our feet cheering and giving the people around us high fives!! It was such a fun night---with hot dogs, shakes and the Angels with an exciting win....you can't ask for a better night at the ball park!

Brody watching the game from right behind the bull pen...We loved the seats, we were field level and front row for only $12. Our new favorite place to sit!
Since we were so close to the players warming up, one of them tossed Brody a ball. He loves that it looks nice and used!

I had some dental work done earlier in the day, which I had REALLY been looking forward to, no really, because I only slept about 6 hours the two nights before because of the pain----basically I had to have an old root canal re-done because it developed a bad infection. The right side of my mouth was so sore that night! But it was SO much better then infection pain! =)
In my Angels gear, and with our Angels blanket.

Whoo Hoo, we won!!

Jack Johnson Concert
We had been waiting for this night for months!! We both have had his new CD in our cars since it came out, and we are still not tired of it. It was such a great concert! He is so good live, and did allot of our favorite songs. We sat up on the lawn, and got there early enough to get the front so no one would block our view, it was great! He had this lady who opened for him named Paula Fuga, she was SO good---she also came out and sang a song with him (that you can see in a video at the end of this post). It was such a great concert and didn't let us down, but I do have to say, even though we loved seeing him live, we aren't fans of the concert crowds! ....If you have a chance to see him live, don't pass it up!!
Disneyland
Labor Day was nice and relaxing! Brody and a friend from the ward went golfing for most of the day, which was really great, I love when he gets the chance to go play! Then we ended up at Disneyland (shocking, I know), which was surprisingly not super crowed like we were preparing ourselves for! We waited maybe 20min at the most, it was so great!!

After the Brad Paisley concert which took us about 2 hours to get home when it normally takes us about 5mins, we tried parking across the street in an office parking lot. It was perfect! We saved on parking, and got home SO much faster! We found a lot of people do it---If your going here soon, it's worth a try...to save time and money! =)
This is the shirt Jack was wearing at the concert! We loved it so much I ordered one for Brody. If you like it or know someone who would Click Here---each purchase supports the Surfrider Foundation!

Here is some video I took at the concert, and toward the end is a clip of Jack and Paula singing together! Im ready to look her up and see if I can get her stuff on itunes! =) Enjoy!

The singing painter
They have been painting our apartment building this week---and this morning after Brody and I got ready and were heading out for the day, we came to the door and heard some singing and scuffing...I looked throw the peep hole and saw this! We were laughing so hard! (Make sure your sound is on! The singing is a bit hard to hear)

Date Night @ Disneyland
This past week I was going around to all 8 Expos taking down 5 fixtures (by a firm deadline)per store and packing them up and getting them sent back to the factory, all by myself (well 6 stores by myself from San Diego to LA). This was the first time I have ever done something like this on my own, it was a bit taxing when your trying to fight off a cold at the same time, but I was really proud of my self for getting it all done! Usually the harder you work the better you feel after!! =) ---by the time Friday rolled around I was finishing up working in Monrovia, then came home and ran some errands....and then was really ready for a fun weekend, and we kicked it off right!...Date night at Disneyland!
Of course we have to do our Tram shot
Brody in line for the Monsters Inc. (my favorite movie) ride...pretending that the monster food behind him is gross....and trying not to laugh....
like this.....

Brody on California Screaming
For the first time ever, we watched the whole Firework show, from the end of main street in that little round-about area---and skipped going on rides, taking advantage of the fact that everyone was watching the firework show. We loved it!! It was so much fun to see what they did with the castle during the show, and just see how it all goes together---instead of hearing and seeing little bits while being on rides. It is a really great show!
We recommend watching it at lest once....and then go back to going on rides while over half the park is watching the show! =) I had some fun taking photos during the show...it was a bit hard since we were so far from the castle (and it would change colors and get dark), but they still turned out....=)

The end...
Main Street packed with people....It's summer alright!

Us on Thunder Mountain (on of our favorites)

We thought this could count as a Hidden Mickey! ; )
Leaving the park after such a fun night!! (with Mickey and Tink in the background)
