"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experiences."

Photos from my iPhone

Photos kinda pile up on my phone, so I thought I would post some resent ones here. : )

Memorial Day. We drove up to Long Beach to have a nice dinner on the water, as we were passing Huntington Beach along the coast we saw this HUGE flag right by Dukes.

The Beautiful harbor, with the Queen Mary behind.

The restaurant we ate at had Cotton Candy. The table next to us got it, and we thought it looked too fun to pass up! : )

The view from our table...

First San O night! We had a great group, but it was pretty chilly! It has gotten warmer each Friday night from there on. : )

Our family cat, Rory. She has been quite the "people cat" lately, and if you know this cat, you know that's not like her at all. : )

Sunday Naps, "watching" some soccer (I like the place a bit on the cold side, I air blows right down on you here, so I put this blanket over him. How comfy does this look? : )

After the big come back & win by the Lakers, we all went up to Fashion Island and got some of the Championship gear before it sold out! We got there 1 min before they were to close.

Game snacks I made : )

This past Friday night at San O - Much warmer, and this time I didn't miss the sunset!

He's just so cute!

Warming up our toes around the fire : )

We saw Toy Story in IMAX 3D. It was so cute, and a blast in IMAX! It's been a looong time since I have seen an IMAX movie, and the screen is SO big, it makes you feel like one of the toys! haha : )

Brody fixting my alternator!! So lucky that he is good (and loves) to learn how to fix cars (and has my amazing Dad to learn all this handy stuff from). It's going to keep the cars we love running as long as we need them too. : )

Brody & John Money checking things out on Brody's new iPad : )

Driving around with the top down! Summer is in full swing! : )

....The end!

What I love about Summer, Vol. 1

Friday Nights at San Onofre...
what could be better than hanging out at the beach with good friends, good food and an amazing beach, that almost always has the most beautiful sunsets.
Frozen Yogurt runs!
Yumm...we are hooked and it's the perfect summer treat.
The 4th of July!!
For SO many reasons.....my Sisters birthday, American pride and we LOVE fireworks!
Summer beach/pool reading!
I love Sophie Kinsella's books. They are all fun, funny, easy reads. I am going to start them all over again this summer. : )
Warm summer nights at Disneyland with Brody!
Luckily the crowds don't bother us. It's just so fun to be there, get some dinner, see the fireworks and get a couple rides in! : )
Summer foods and BBQing!
Hawaii!!!
Angels Games!!
They are doing well so far and we are so excited to go to some more games this summer! : )

Hakuna matata

Backtracking a bit. We saw the Lion King while it was here in Orange County a couple weeks ago, and it was in a word, Beautiful!! From the opening number it gave you chills, they did an amazing job of bringing the movie to life on stage!
Since they don't allow you to take photos during the show, I had to "google" some. : )
These animals came down the isles right by us on there way up to the pride land....it was so much fun! : )
Most lines were taking right from the movie, which was really fun!
Rafiki (shown below) was really funny!
It was so fun to hear the songs again and see the movie in a whole different way! And the actors even sounded JUST like the ones in the movie! It was awesome!!

If you have a chance to see it, I wouldn't miss it!! : )

World of fun and color!!

A long time ago (I say that because I'm not too sure how long ago) they drained the lake in Disney's California Adventure, to start the process of creating new night time water show called 'World of Color'! This past Friday night was the first night it was open to the public.

For now there are only 3 ways you can get into the viewing area, you can (1) Show up first thing in the morning and hope to get a fast pass in (2) Buy a "box dinner" to eat while you wait in line and not guaranteed good viewing, or (3) A dinner package at one of there restaurants, ether Arials Grotto or Wine Country Trattoria. The only open spot for opening night by the time I called was the Trattoria, which was fun because it was new and opening that night as well (and we have already been to Arials Grotto).

They had a special menu for the World of Color package. We LOVED this place, the food was amazing!! So good that I got close to eating every bit, which I normally don't get close to---I just keep eating because it was so good! : )
Our fast passes for the show :)

Brody put tiny Mickey ears on me : )
One of the things I was so looking forward to was this glowing cotton candy (it's really the small things in life) :) ...and Brody (being the great husband he is) hunted it down for me!
It was a fun snack for the show!
(it has a LED light up wand inside of it that would glow different colors and different speeds, don't worry, it's not radioactive or anything) ; )
The show was nothing short of amazing! It was very entertaining, beautiful and is always fun to see clips of your favorite Disney movies. What they did with the water, light and color was very captivating! : )
Here are some shots of the show:
These water jets shoot up to 200ft into the air, it was awesome!!
Under the Sea
Finding Nemo
Toy Story
Aladin

Fire during Pirates (I think). The Pirates was one of my favorite parts of the show, it is in the video at the bottom. : )

The dining package puts you in the perfect spot. Its sort of raised up and right in the middle, and was not crowed like the other viewing areas. And most important, it was far enough back to not get super wet...we still got a bit wet, but I couldn't imagine how it would have been if we were closer.

Wall-E

For the summer they also started up what is called, 'Glow Fest' on Hollywood street. It is sort of like a big "glowing dance party". They have it set up much like they do at New Years, with lights, music and more.

Having fun a little hopped up on sugar...haha
Glowing Drink (the cups light up), and snack stands
The people dancing in the gated area are being filmed and show up big in the upper left of the pic on the building...that was pretty cool!

It was such a fun date night!! If you have passes or thinking about getting some, there are a lot of fun things going on at the parks for summer! : )
Also, here is a little video of bits of the 'World of Color' show.
