"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experiences."

Toshiba Classic

Some friends of ours were nice enough to offer us some 18th hole box seats for the Toshiba Classic that they weren't able to use. It couldn't have come at a better time. My doctor and I were working on my medications, and long story short, I was having a pretty off week (doing much better now though) and a relaxing golf tournament with my hubby was JUST what I needed! : )

Our view from the 18th hole.
It was just SO fun to be able to sit in such a beautiful, quite place and watch the groups finish.
I took this photo a bit late, but they had such a lovely lunch buffet all set up. The food was so good!

It was a bit of a chilly day, and I was so happy when Brody came back with some hot chocolate to sip on. : )

Our view back down 18.

It was such a fun day!! I can't tell you what a joy it was to be able to go and have such a nice area to sit relax and enjoy the tournament in. I've really come to love golf, it's such a beautiful sport! Thank you again SO much Mike and Laura, we missed having you there with us this year! : )

Catching up (March edition)

I am SO behind on posts!! I did a couple smaller ones tonight, but still have about 4 more larger posts in the works (all a little out of order too. But most all in March, so it's not too far off. haha).
I'll get caught back up soon! But probably won't be till after Brodys big surprise Birthday weekend! : )

Love you all! Thank you for continuing to check back in with us. : )

Shopping in the rain

We've had some rainy days recently (iv'e noticed that they like to come on the weekends only...not sure how the weather knows this?). We needed to venture out to South Coast Plaza for some errands, and a rainy saturday afternoon seemed like the perfect day for it!

Any day that I can break out some boots and a fun umbrella is a good day in my book! ; )
Plus, you can't beat the sound and smell of rain. <3

SOCO Farmers Market

A couple weeks ago we stopped by the SOCO Farmers Market. The center this is held at is mainly a home design center, with varies furniture showrooms. But on Sat the parking lot turns into a great farmers market and food truck event.
We loved it! Familiarized ourselves with the stands that come, and tried a new food truck and a little ice cream stand. : )
My favorite part was finding a local honey stand! I have heard off and on for awhile that taking a bit of local honey in the mornings can help build up an immunity to the local seasonal pollen. It seems to be so effective for people, and I am excited to see if I can tell a difference. It says, ideally to start this about 2 months before allergy season. Here is an interesting site I found on the matter if anyone is interested in reading into it. : )
It was all such a great find and we are excited to go back soon!

(Fisheye)

Several weeks ago while we were on one of our Apple Store walk throughs (that store is too fun!), we found this nifty little thing called an Olloclip. It's a little double sided lens that snaps onto your iPhone. One side is Fisheye and the other is wide angle and Macro. It's been really fun to play with!

Here are a couple shots from the night we got them. We stopped in at the Newport Beach Temple  for our first little test run!

Flashback Europe 2008

This new computer is SO fun!! I'm getting around to putting together videos I have wanted to do for years! One being our week of driving all over Europe back in 2008, visiting glass and crystal factories for work (before meeting my family in Paris for another week), topping it off with Disneyland Paris. It is still a week I will never forget and one of the most epic trips we have ever had!
If you want to read a re-cap from that week, you can find it {Here}
Enjoy!
(and as always, I wish I took more photos/videos on this trip. haha)

The 'One Republic' songs that this is set to, is because no matter what country we were in, these songs came on the radio about 1 in every 4 or 5. : ) Lot's of inside jokes for us with these songs on this trip. : )

Gaslamp Getaway Slideshow

R&R was our big goal this past weekend, and we killed it! It was such a fun, low key and relaxing weekend. So nice to just lounge around in the sun. The weather couldn't have been more perfect! Another hit, in our favorite getaway spot! : )

More to come.... : )

Golf-or-Treat and DL fun!

This past Sat there was a Golf Show at the Anaheim convention center. It opened at 9am and the first 500 people in line got a bunch of free stuff. Since we are all for free stuff and Brody hasn't golfed in so long, we thought we would head out early and try for all the fun prizes!
Some of the giveaways!
We got a lot more inside too. It was like Trick-or-Treating from booth to booth.
Brody with our goodie bags!!
Putting for discounts---he made it! : )
Trying out Nikes new stuff

Dart board for 2 for one at a course down the coast....Dana Point area? I can't remember right now. But he got the 2 for 1!! : )
This was fun to watch. He got it through one, and SO SO close to the hole in one.
The golf show was a lot of fun!! Brody was in heaven the whole time (which was fun for me to see), with all the demos, freebies and more. And later that day I got the call that I won us a weekend at a golf resort in Temecula (golf and all taxes included)!! Now he has a lot of Golf fun to look forward to...if theres time with work. : )

After the Golf Show, we couldn't resist going across the street for some lunch at Disneyland!!
It's SO colorful at the park right now, spring is in full bloom there!
It was such a beautiful day to be there.
Our new favorite snack at the park! Fresh fruit yogurt parfait. Somehow, it's better than another i've had, in or out of the park. : )
We climbed up the tree house for the first time in years!!
And also played around in Toontown for the first time in years!
It's fun that even though we have had passes for so long, there are always still things we haven't done in a long time.
Something else I haven't done in years, is die my hair. I went a lot lighter, I love it. But still need to tweak it a little to get it just right. It's a lot of for for spring and summer. : )
It was SUCH a fun/perfect day!!

Love Day

Valentines Day this year was awesome, it was so nice and low key. We stayed home, Brody made a fabulous dinner & dessert, got me a couple days of roses leading up to the day---So very sweet!! AND, surprised me with a new iPod Nano, since I now have a computer that can run iTunes properly (mines the red one. So it matches my car!). Whoo hoo!!
Who could ask for more in life? : )

Post Dallas Date

The guys were in Dallas all last week at the Market & they had a great show!!
We had a little lunch date in the rain of, trying out the new tester PF Chang's in the Irvine Spectrum (It was SO good. I love that place) and our favorite stop, Yogurtland!
So happy to have him home!
(Top left: The wet ground outside of PF Chang's, with palm tree reflections)

Happy, happy Birthday!

My birthday was earlier this month, and it was one of my all time favorites!!
As you may remember in past posts, every year since I was about 6(?) we have gone to the same Baskin Robins and picked out an ice cream cake. One of the most delicious traditions in my life! : ) This time when we walked in there happened to be a Tinker Bell cake sitting all by it's self. With it being Disney and now sort of a funny undertone of my life, the cake and I seemed to be MFEO. haha : )
When I got home from work I had the most beautiful flowers waiting for me! I have never had SUCH amazing smelling roses in my life. I miss them!
Also, the KindleFire was surprise gift from my parents. I LOVE it! I have been using it so much, it's a lot of fun. : )
That night we went with my parents to see Steve Tyrells opening night at the Orange County Preforming Arts Center. We have seen him a couple times before. The first being the weekend before our wedding, and then a couple years ago on Valentines night, and we had many of his songs at our wedding. He has a great voice and has had a very interesting career. He's most well known for his songs in the Father of the Bride movies. Some of my favorites are, 'Love like ours' and 'Simple Life'. {Click here for more}
The concert was awesome!! That beautiful music in a nice small venue, was so relaxing! I loved every minute of it. I only wish we could have gotten up a danced! : ) We got to meet him for the 2nd time. He's always so nice to talk with, and signed a Happy Birthday note to me!!
Oh, and last but surely NOT least!! Brody surprised me with replacing my computer!! 27'' iMac!! I've been in computer heaven ever since! It's so beautiful, and actually runs my programs!! It was a much needed upgrade that we will have for many years.
Do you see what an upgrade it was? My computer and I are still very much in the Honeymoon phase. : )
It was such a wonderful Birthday! I feel so very blessed!

One last ride

I really wish I was more of a fan of the Matterhorn. It's a wonderful concept for a ride, and a historic, beautiful Disneyland landmark! But every time I ride it, it's horribly uncomfortable and jerky. Each time they shut it down for a long refurbishment I cross my fingers and toes it will re-open a much smoother ride....I guess I should have been wishing on a star all along. ; )
This time the ride has shut down till mid to late June of this year, AND they are installing NEW cars! The days of sitting two to a seat will be a thing of the past, and we will now be rushing through the snow capped mountain solo, and single file. Not even the side by side seaters they were testing a couple years ago. The best news for those who might feel the same as I have about the ride? With new cars, comes rumors of new tracks!! I'm so excited to give it another go when it reopens with shiny new bobsleds.
Knowing of the ride closer and changes, we went up for one last ride past the abominable snowman in what many call the cuddle cars. : ) I LOVE old photos of the park and the changes over the years, so for me it was such fun to get the above photo of Brody and I in the cars as they have been for many, many years!

I love little trips like this to the park! : )

Happy 2012!!

Happy New Year to everyone!!
Does anyone else feel as good about this new year as I do? Hopefully it has some wonderful things in store for us as we continue to go forward with optimistic faith. : )
New years eve was a fun day! We started off the morning with all the Foy family at Goofy's Kitchen in the Disneyland hotel for little Marely's 2nd birthday party. It was such a cute party and Marley seemed to enjoy every sec of it...and we enjoy every sec of our time with her. It was great to see everyone and have several days of fun family time!
After the party we snuck into DL for a bit to check out the crowds, and get hand stamps to get back in later that night.
When we got back this thick fog had rolled in! It made everything look so cool! And made for some great photos.
Waiting to get on the Silly Swings
Up and down the boardwalk they had a bunch of circus type performers. It was pretty fun to watch!
Street parties!
See? The fog made everything so pretty!
We saw the New Years count down by Paradise bay, where they do World of Color. They did a neat water/firework show at midnight! One of the fireworks went rouge, came right at us and landed in the water a couple feet from all of us. That was crazy! But we live to see a new year. ; )
As always, NYE at the park was such a blast!
Hope everyone had a fun and safe new years!! We wish you all the best this new year has to offer! We love you all! : )
Happy 2012!!

Merry Christmas!!

We came back from DL and slept over at my parents house & waited for Santa! ; )
Brody and I slept down stairs on the big comfy couches and fell asleep to the light of the tree and Christmas Story playing on the TV. It was such a fun Christmas day, but it was definitely weird not having Lauren home for the holidays. But we all did get to talk with her later in the day, and it is always so great to hear how well she is doing and how much she is loving her mission! : )
Santa was good this year! We all got a lot of fun things!!
We now have the smell of freshly baked bread around our home. So so good!!
We got my parents this awesome LEGO VW Camper van! And Brody had such fun putting it together for them. The detail on this van is amazing!
Mmmm, can't you just smell the french toast? : )
Dad got this awesome MOON garage stool! (among other things of course) : )
This was my BIG gift for Brody that I somehow managed to keep a secret for weeks! I almost ruined it so many times. haha.
When the Angels signed Pujols, and since we had so much fun last season with our mini ticket package, I got us another for this coming season!! And when they announced the press conference I went up to it alone since Brody had to do a make up ride with his Scouts. I got there a bit late, but just in time to get some photos a new Pujols t-shirt AND got Mike Scioscia's autograph!! It was SO SO hard to come back from the conf. and not tell him what happened. But SO worth it on that morning!!
My parents got him new components for his bike, and and awesome US Navy kit!
Some of my favorites were a new point and shoot camera, new lens for our big camera AND Brody replaced my little diamond band he gave me our first Christmas when were dating, that was lost/stolen about 4 years ago. I LOVE it as much as I loved the first one. I remember I was SO in love with it I told him that I wouldn't mind that being my engagement ring, and I stared at it all the time! It's nice to have it back! : )
After church we went over to the Moneys house for our amazing annual Christmas brunch! It's always so much fun and Jill does such an amazing job with every detail. : )
It was such a wonderful Christmas and one of my favorites so far!
Hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday with family and friends!! We love you!!
