"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experiences."

Reunited...

A couple weeks ago Malia (for those who don't know Malia, she is the middle one in the above photo) was in town from Fiji!! We were SO excited to have her home again, so of course we got together and had one of our marathon lunches---we only get to see her about once a year. We normally go to Panera Bread and talk for at least 4 hours. It's so much fun to get together a catch up. We have all been BFF's since elementary school. : )
We now have a "secret" group on Facebook with just the 3 of us in it so we can post updates, stories, photos and just keep better in touch, since we are on different time zones....and just busy.
I love these girls so much, and am so lucky to have grown up with such wonderful friends who have always been there for each other and have stayed close all these years! Great friends are such a blessing!!
Can't wait till our next lunch!! : )
Here's a little flash back photo of us at my 6th grade violin recital : )

First Tuesday

Earlier this week we had the Kogi BBQ truck visit where we live.
This truck has a HUGE following on Twitter and people follow them all around LA and Orange County.
Knowing this, we were pretty curious to try them out!
These food trucks have become so popular! There is a night in LA, I think it's called 'First Friday', where they all meet together and you can try out a bunch of their food. Something we think would be a lot of fun to go to! : )
They were at our stop from about 6:30 - 9pm, and there was a huge line the entire time.
Luckily we got there right on time, so we were toward the front!

Brody ordering.
I had Brody order for me, it felt a little too 'Soup Natzi' for my first run at the Taco truck. ; )

First bite.
SO good!!
We tried all three meats they offer, and came to the conclusion that the short ribs are the best thing ever!!

Brody LOVED the burrito...I had a little nibble of it, and I agree! : )
To the left is a Tres Leches Cake.....
Oh man, one of the best things with sugar I have ever eaten!!
Happy first timers of the Kogi BBQ Truck!!

Make sure to STOP (get it?) and check out the Kogi BBQ Truck if you can! : )
You can follow them on Twitter {here} and check out there menu, locations and more {here}

The weekenders: Episode 417

This weekend we were supposed to be in San Diego for a little weekend get-a-way, but the rain made us take a, 'rain check' on that (get it? hehe). So we ended up having a great low key rainy weekend at home. : )

Here are a few highlights...

Disneyland has been doing Family Fun Weekends, and this weekend was Mardi Gras! We headed over to New Orleans to check it out. It was pretty fun. Everyone was all dressed up and they had different foods and shows going.

A fun and VERY cold ride on Thunder Mountain
(with a few showers of rain here and there)
Even the churros were in the swing of things, with these Mardi Gras colored sprinkles!

We made a couple runs to the hot tub in the rain!
Which we found out is really fun AND you get the whole place to yourself!!
Surprising huh? ; )
We brought a plastic trash bag to shield our things from the rain, along with the help of the umbrella.
Saturday morning we had a nice late breakfast at our favorite Denny's here in Irvine....and Brody had a little too much fun with his straw. In the 3rd frame, you can see the a little straw wrapper ball go flying off to the left. ; )

After breakfast we were going to go to the OC Fairgrounds for the big swap met. But when we showed up, there were only about 4 or 5 booths set up and we could see they weren't going to have what we were looking for.
Then Brody remembered there was one in the OCC parking lot.....so we headed over to check it out...
They didn't have what we were looking for ether, but we sure had a lot of fun looking around!

: )

This is where I found my new fun bag! For only $12!!

Brody checking out some soccer stuff...

My great new bag : )

These little stands were awesome!!
They were selling some sort of fruit dish that you could add different flavors to.
It was so beautiful and colorful!

It was a great little market and we had so much fun shopping around.
But we can't wait for the BIG swap met to be up and running full swing again!
We capped off our weekend with dinner and a movie. We saw Gnomeo & Juliet, it was cute and fun to go to a movie again, since we don't go very often....and I was reminded again why. I can't believe the cost of going to a movie now! Thank goodness we have a dollar theater near by! Thank you again for sponsoring our movie night Mom and Dad Foy! : )

It was such a wonderful rainy weekend!! : )

Miracles happen...

This photo may look normal to most of you, but if you have known my car for the last year and a half, it had the 'check engine' light that never failed. For awhile I was pretty sure that was only thing about the car I could really count on. ; )
After a lot of repairs BIG and small, it seems to be all better and happy!
It's been fun along the way though. Brody and my Dad have have loved doing the repairs on Sat afternoons. It's been great, Brody has learned a lot about car repair has really enjoyed it---and we have saved thousands on top of thousands doing it all ourselves! And it's still been cheaper than a car payment over the time. : )
Thank you again for all the time and hard work guys! <3
I just LOVE my car!
It's feelin' brand new, and I am so glad we seemed to have fixed it....for now! ; )

Will you be my Valentine?

Look at me! I'm blogging about something that didn't happen a month ago, but just this week! Crazy huh? ; )
Valentines Day is such a sweet holiday, I just love it. I did my week of Valentine gifts, candies and little notes for Brody in his Mail box (this years box had to be bigger, due to the gifts). He got plenty of fun little things he has been mentioning for a bit. : ) It is also fun to do!
He surprised me with this beautiful necklace!! I've been wanting one like this for a looooong time, but haven't seen one I really love.
This one...I love!! : )
Brody with one of his Vday gifts. He got some fun accessories for his iPad. : )

Then we headed up to the parks for dinner! We had such a nice dinner at Cafe Orleans, seated right by the walkway overlooking the 'Rivers of America', it was beautiful and very relaxing!

Splash under referb.....can't wait till end of May when it opens back up again! : )
Us on Gadgets Go Coaster in Toon Town. TT was empty, so we did a couple rounds on this....and found out it is the fastest ride in DL, clocking in at a whopping 25mph! We kinda believe it....space just feels faster than that at times! : )
Last ride of the night! We got in line 1 min before closing!

haha...I was blowing a kiss and he was pretending to catch it...but his arm was cut off!
I am so grateful for my Valentine and all the fun and joy he brings me each day! I am one lucky girl!!
