Today on the way to watch the NCAA Woman's Water Polo, we stopped into Old Town San Diego for lunch and to finally go through the Mormon Battalion museum.
We ate at one of Brody's families favorite Mexican food places, 'Old Town Mexican Cafe'.
Brody with his yummy Chicken in Mole (Mo-lay) sauce! : )
We love Old Town!!
We were so excited to finally have the time (and it not be under construction) to go through the Mormon Battalion Museum. It was amazing!
You go from one room to the next learning the story of the Battalion. In these very elaborate rooms, that make you feel like you are outside along the trail! It was so much fun and very entertaining!
In one of the rooms we learned about the outfits that they wore and the things that they were equipped with as they made their journey.
When it came time for a volunteer to put on the outfit, Brody was their man! : )
Outside from the tower looking to the ocean
Panning me some "gold" : )
The "loot" he found for me & our Battalion photo! : )
It was such a beautiful place!!
After we left our trails with the Battalion, we headed to UCSD to watch some Water Polo! : )
It was such a fun day!! If you ever have the chance to go to the Battalion Museum, it is not to be passed up! : )
