The Holidays are coming...

I LOVE this time of year at Disneyland, and not so much because I am a huge Halloween fan, but because it means it is the start of Fall and the holiday season.

It is the start of Disneyland getting dressed up for holidays, different foods, shows, rides and so on...

We have a tradition of going every year on the first night that the Fall/Halloween decorations go up. This year I ran up in the morning and got fastpassses for Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy and Haunted Mansion Holiday. When I got there in the morning the lines for both were already around 50+ mins!

I was so happy to have those fastpasses in my little hand for later! : )

All the decorations are so fun...

...and they also have special foods out of the fall.

Our first ride was Ghost Galaxy!

It's not very scary or super well done, but it's always fun when they change things up. And we like it! : )

We then headed over to Haunted Mansion, which is now themed after the movie 'The Nightmare Before Christmas' until January.

At each ride we waited maybe 10-15mins.

(It was awesome, because each ride was around an 80min wait...which is expected on opening day!)

We only really go on it when its done up for Holiday : )

It can get a little scary...haha

Uh Brody, Texting while driving Autopia cars is still wrong! ; )

These little Mickey popcorn buckets were so cute and sold out in record time.

Such a fun date night!!

Because of World of Color and the clouds, the sky looked like the glowing cotton camdy that they were selling for World of Color! : )

I found tickets to some Angels games for under a $1 on StubHub...

How could you pass that up?!

We took a photo for a nice family and they took a bunch for us. Then a reporter from the OC Register came up to us and asked if he could take our photo...and he took a bunch...

I love the Mickey statue! It's just so cute! : )

Our cheap tickets got us some amazing seats! It was our favorite place we have sat so far!

Since it wasn't a big game, we had some room to spread out! : )

We had a great time, great food, great view...and we are excited to go back for more! : )

Weekend breakfasts are the best!

It's not always pancakes and bacon of course...but it is fun to make it something special and different from the rest of the week! : )

I took this photo as we were driving up the coast one day to meet some friends for lunch. Some how I am always struck at what a beautiful area we (are so lucky to) live in! : )

Every Summer we take a trip to the Rainbow Sandals factory store, just to look around and see what they have that is new and get some lunch. It's a fun little outing.

There is this amazing Italian market in...I think its Fountain Valley. They sell these pizza kits for $6, and you can easily make two good sized pizzas from it. They give you the dough to roll out, sauce and cheese! We love it!

This was at our last official Summer Friday night at San O! The sunsets are so lovely! : )

I honestly have no clue what this is. haha. It was on my phone and Brody I think it may be Star Tours right after they closed it for its year (or just over a year) remodel....but we don't know! ; )

My first time having Shabu-Shabu. It's an Asian cuisine that Brody has become familiar with through some of his Koren accounts in LA (one of the many things we love about Brody's job, is he gets this great exposure to all these different cultures. And LA is a hot bed for that) : ) . It was SO good and A LOT of fun! You get a plate of raw meats and veggies and you cook them in that boiling pot of water in front of you (sometimes you can get flavored water too).

My Mom and I were in Arcadia this past week and stumbled upon a neighborhood that is over run with wild peacocks. It was so cool! In most yards there were about 5 of them, and then there were peacocks wondering down the roads, in bushes and so on. It was pretty fun to drive through. I rolled down my window to take a photo, and one came storming up to the car like it was going to hop in! ; ) Maybe they are used to being feed? Even though there is a sign that says there is a $1,000 fine for feeding them. Yikes!

Seeing Blue

Last week we were lucky enough to go to an afternoon Dodger game with Kerri from Juno (a lighting line we rep). She was in town to visit showrooms and work with the guys---and has always wanted to catch a baseball game while she was here. The Angels were out of town, but we were all more than happy to see a Dodgers game since none of us had ever been.

We all really loved the stadium!

It is so retro (compared to Angels, PETCO and more), it feels like you went back in time a bit to the 60's. : )

We sat in the Club Level (on nice comfy padded seats) and enjoyed yummy grilled Dodger dogs!! : )

Dodger water...the Angels need something like this : )

They play live organ music during the game and for 'Take me out to the ball game", in the 7th inner stretch! : )

We had such a fun time, and really loved our first game at Dodger Stadium!!

Maui Dayz Part 1 (of 3)

Our family trip to Maui was amazing!!

And I have hundreds of photos to prove it (345 to be exact)!

It was 7 days of pure Hawaiian joy. We did everything from watching amazing sunsets to golfing to swimming with turtles to eating shave ice to surfing and so much more. : )

Landing was so beautiful!!

On the plane, we were sat right by Val Kilmer and his son. He and his son had a great time on the flight, they did a lot of laughing. He also spent some time reading a script....soooo maybe he's going to be in an upcoming movie.When we landed back in LAX we found one of his luggage ID stickers was stuck to one of our bags the whole trip.

Hawaii has the most amazing sunsets, and we made sure not to miss one while we were there!

We took a drive the day we got there to explore more of the island and found these goats on the side of the road. We didn't see any last year, but we saw them several times this year.
