"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experiences."

AZ

We had a fun trip out to AZ to visit with Brody's parents and Sister. We did get to see much of AD, which we were sad about. But we loved the time we got to spend with everyone---and meet the newest member of the family. A new puppy named Maggie!

She LOVED Brody, as all dogs seem to. I think they know he is allergic. haha
Here she is below, trapping Brody's foot. : )
Friday night we got to go to the Diamond Back's game, who were playing the Giants. Which is seeming to be tradition now, since every time we (or Brody) have gone to a game there they are always playing the Giants. Thank you again for a fun night out (and trip)! : )
When we walked in there was a booth to make a free sign....so we did! : )
Grabbing a bite to eat
We had great seats!!
Nothing like Cold Stone and a Baseball game : )
...I think we had a bit too much sugar. haha : )
The roof of the stadium opening up for the firework show!
Oh, and here is the sign we made! : )
Saturday Brody and I went golfing! I can't tell you how much I LOVE going golfing with him. Golf courses are so beautiful, it is just a fun relaxing way to spend time together. : )
Tunnel to the back 9
He had a great game, several birdies, pars and inches away from a hole in one! We had a great time! : )
There is a coffee shop next to one of our favorite places (Joes Farm Grill), that has some great cupcakes, and they even won Food Networks 'Cupcake Wars'! That was a really fun find!
Several of the flavors are topped with eatable glitter!! : )

H to the D

Our box had been acting funny for awhile (and we are on our 2nd since we signed up for Directv). It would record things only when it wanted to, and sometimes, just sometimes, if we were really good, it would record the last 30mins of the show. But who really needs the end of shows anyways, right? ; )
A couple weeks ago Brody called up Directv just to ask if they could send us a new box again or come switch it out, and to our total surprise (and probably because they didn't want us to cancel on them), they offered us a whole new HD set up in both rooms for FREE!! But wait, there's more....they are also going to lower our existing bill by $10 each month for a year! We'll take it!

They came and installed it, and we LOVE it!!
(We can also record shows in both rooms, it's awesome!)

We had taken a last min trip to Disneyland, and were enjoying 'World of Color' from an awesome secret spot!
(and went on a couple rides) : )

Le Tour De Brody

Brody has been wanting a new bike for awhile now, but with school & work he is one busy guy, and hasn't had the time to put into it as he would like. So he has held off until school was done, hoping he would have more time to justify getting a new bike then. A lot of guys in our stake ride, and he has always loved it as a workout. Well school is done, but having the time is still yet to be seen : )....but he did come across a great deal for the exact bike he has had his eye on.
It was sort of a little blessing really. Some friends of ours resently got this bike, but never used it, and didn't have a need for it anymore. They were looking to replace it with a one speed bike....and happened to love the one that we were going to sell (to put toward getting this same bike). So, we did a bike swap!
It was perfect, so perfect that I have to believe it was one of those small little blessings. He deserves it! : )

Tonight I was hanging out with him as he put his computer and other things on it, and of course rode it around for a bit. He just loves it!! Can't you tell? : )
I am so happy he has such a great bike now, and I hope he finds some time to enjoy the rides he loves so much!

1st date anniversary...

We celebrate anything and everything. A long time ago we started "celebrating" our first date anniversary. It's fun, we have a little date night at Disneyland (were we ended up on our first date. Which may explain to some of you who may be newer to our blog, why Disneyland is such a special place to us), and do some reminiscing (which is always fun).
We got to the park prepared for it to be pretty crowded, and to our surprise it wasn't bad at all (that, or we are getting really used to the crowds after all these years. haha). Below is the area roped off to watch the fireworks, just before it was about to start. There is plenty of room for a Sat night! It was great!
Dumbo flying over the Castle : )
It was a beautiful show.
We had only seen it once last summer and not from a very good angle...this time we enjoyed it much more!!
You know it's a really good grand finale when you try to take a photo of it and it whites out your whole photo with its massive amount of light! haha...
We also got to see Fantasmic. I had never seen it before from start to finsih, and it was realy good (but I still like 'World of Color' much better). This nice couple let us share a table with them at the resturant in front of the river, so we had a great veiw and got to sit down for the show which was really nice!
(I love my ears!) : )
It was another wonderful night at Disneyland!! We also got in 4 rides before the park closed!!
It was perfect!
And my wonderful husband brought flowers home for me! I am one very lucky girl!!

4th

We had a wonderful 4th of July weekend! Full of the 'big 4', family, friends, food and fireworks!!
(the photo above I put together with photos we took playing around with sparklers. Can together pretty nice I think.)

We started out the weekend relaxing at San O...
Playing with our favorite little girl, Gabby

eating yummy hot dogs...
( why is it that they always taste so good at the beach?? )

We love Jeff & Camille
Saturday morning we got to go back down to San Diego, for another tour of Johns Ship. This time with Lauren, Dad and Brody!! It was great fun and another great tour. We saw some new things we missed the last week!
It was a nice day to kick back and relax. : )
And then do a nice workout!
The Bridge
Playin' Captain : )

So glad the guys and Lauren got to see Johns ship!
It's an amazing opperation, and we are all so proud of him!
Picking up a nice stash of fireworks to bring over the boarder to Newport! ; )
Saturday night Brody & I went up to Disneyland to see the Fourth of July firework show. This year they ran it for four nights instead of just on the 4th. It was such a great show, very patriotic!!
And, Disneyland was all decked out for the holiday!!
Awesome show!!
I love that we have Disneyland so close. There are SO many things I love about going!
Oh, and Brody renewed his pass for another year of fun! : )
On the 4th, we had fun celebrating not only the 4th, but Laurens (my Sister) Birthday too!! She's a Fourth of July baby! How cool is that? How great is it to have fireworks on your Birthday every year?? : )
After some yummy cake, Brody set up the fireworks in my parents backyard. My Dad had the great idea of doing them by the pool so they would reflect off the water! Brilliant!!
Gabby watching the captivating lights of the fireworks
Ooooooooo....
Ahhhhhh.......
We had quite a group watching....here are some of them : )
The fireworks were awesome. A couple of them shot little fireworks high up, but I keep missing that with my camera...oh well. : )
The aftermath. haha
Watching all those fireworks really wore out little Gabby.
How cute is she asleep? I want to keep her! : )
Such a fun 4th!!
...and so sleepy!

We LOVE the 4th!!
Hope everyone had a wonderful and safe holiday!!
