"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experiences."

Anniversary

Our anniversary was the 11th of December! Brody surprised me with reservations for us at Capital Grille in South Coast Plaza. It was a very nice, relaxing place, with amazing food!
It was such a nice dinner, and we had some yummy leftovers! : )

After dinner we headed up to Disneyland for the fireworks, a sweet treat and ornament shopping! Unfortunately, my camera died, so we don't have photos of that part of the night. But we've had plenty of Disneyland posts, you can imagine the photos. haha. : )
It was a great Anniversary night!! I am so lucky and so grateful to have such a wonderful husband, who brings so much love, support and fun to my life everyday!!

1st date anniversary...

We celebrate anything and everything. A long time ago we started "celebrating" our first date anniversary. It's fun, we have a little date night at Disneyland (were we ended up on our first date. Which may explain to some of you who may be newer to our blog, why Disneyland is such a special place to us), and do some reminiscing (which is always fun).
We got to the park prepared for it to be pretty crowded, and to our surprise it wasn't bad at all (that, or we are getting really used to the crowds after all these years. haha). Below is the area roped off to watch the fireworks, just before it was about to start. There is plenty of room for a Sat night! It was great!
Dumbo flying over the Castle : )
It was a beautiful show.
We had only seen it once last summer and not from a very good angle...this time we enjoyed it much more!!
You know it's a really good grand finale when you try to take a photo of it and it whites out your whole photo with its massive amount of light! haha...
We also got to see Fantasmic. I had never seen it before from start to finsih, and it was realy good (but I still like 'World of Color' much better). This nice couple let us share a table with them at the resturant in front of the river, so we had a great veiw and got to sit down for the show which was really nice!
(I love my ears!) : )
It was another wonderful night at Disneyland!! We also got in 4 rides before the park closed!!
It was perfect!
And my wonderful husband brought flowers home for me! I am one very lucky girl!!

Best. Anniversary. Ever.

We celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary yesterday....all day long! It was such a blast!! I can't tell you how much we love having our anniversary in December with all the beautiful Christmas lights, music, everything is decorated and the cozy cold (rainy) weather (this year). I will start with the highlight of the day....

Brody took me to Ruth's Chris for dinner. We became fast friends with our waitress and her assistant---she put us on her permanent list, so when we come back we will be seated in her section. When she found out it was our anniversary, she put Anniversary confetti on our table and took my dessert off the bill! The Manager & the Sous Chef even came by to wish us a happy Anniversary--they really know how to provide amazing service and make their customers feel special! We have been to plenty of really nice restaurants, but they really pay attention to details.
We each had the filet & Brody had the filet & Lobster (guess what?! I tried the lobster and liked it! I just have to get by the texture of it a bit more & might be on my way to eating sea life). We got a couple side dishes and by far our favorite was the sweet potato casserole, it was amazing---and we finished off with a Crème Brûlée & Cheese Cake.
When our main course came out (sizzling on a 500* plate) the Sous Chef came by our table to answer any questions we had and asked us how the food was--of course we said it was amazing! The food from start to finish was AMAZING!! We got a nice big bottle of San Pellegrino (sparkling water, or water with gas), which brought back such fun memories of our time in the Czech Republic, Austria & Germany (and a bit in Paris). After our first bite we knew we found our new favorite place! : )

That morning I woke up to roses and breakfast in bed! I have the greatest husband ever---he is so thoughtful! : )
Then we went to help my Mom with an errand she needed our help with---and since we all have passes, we thought it would be fun to have lunch at Disneyland. Which was fun because at first we had a room reservation at The Grand Californian Hotel--and then thought it would be fun to do something a little different and more low key than Disneyland....but we were so glad we ended up going for a bit! If you follow this blog, you know that Disneyland is a very special place for us---being our first date and so on.... : )
Our Anniversary pins! :)
Not just any lunch, but a Blue Bayou lunch! It was so great--Thank you again Mom!
Then we went on a couple rides. Starting with Winnie The Pooh (since Mom had never been on it)....
And of course "It's a Small World", A Disneyland classic, which is all dressed up for Christmas! The line was so short, we got to just walk right on!! : )
Here are some inside shots of the ride : )

Us and the tree to the left...haha
It's so pretty inside....
Happy 5 years!! We also took the train around Disneyland, and it was train #5 : )
Happy Anniversary love!! Thank you for 5 years full of love, laughter and incredible memories!
We had an amazing day! It was the perfect way to celebrate & remember such a wonderful & memorable day we had 5 years ago with family and friends at Temple Square --- and we can't wait to see what more wonderful things the next five years hold for us! : )

Happy 4 years!! ♥

Yesterday was our 4 year anniversary! I can't believe how fast the time has gone---it feels just like yesterday....well maybe not yesterday, but last year maybe....time goes fast! =) We just love having our anniversary around Christmas, it is already such a romantic time of year with all the beautiful lights, music and cozy weather! It is our favorite time of year and we love that on top of all that we get to celebrate our anniversary as well!

Last night we had a such nice dinner at Pomodoro , where I branched out from my usual Fettuccine Alfredo, and tired the Tortellini Soup--it was SO good! I highly recommend it! After dinner we grabbed some hot chocolates and headed to a neighborhood in Fountain Valley that goes all out every year decorating their houses to the max for Christmas! We ended up calling it 'Christmas Lane'. It was so much fun to explore the streets and walk around looking at all the fun displays, some house's even have music playing (it is also amusing to see how many people pile into this neighborhood to see the houses)! =) If you would like to check it out as well, you can type into your GPS or Map Quest the corner of 'Heil' and 'Sycamore' in Fountain Valley, and turn right on 'Sycamore' into the neighborhood. It's simple fun, which we really enjoy! =)
I came home from work to these--2 dozen long steamed roses! They smell amazing! I LOVE flowers! Brody laughs at me becuause when ever I get flowers I usually take them with me into another room, if I know I am going to be there for awhile =) I told Brody awhile back that for my Birthday, Valintines Day and Anniversarys all I want are flowers!
Here are just a few photos of the neighborhood: (it was a bit toned down this year, then I remembered it from years ago--we thought that some people didn't want that big electric bill this year with things the way they are.....) This tree was blinking and flashing! We liked this drive way covering =) It was all LED's

I loved the little puppies all tangled up in the lights
Us looking at the lights---Brody took this, and I thought it came out really cool! =)

It has been such a wonderful and fun 4 years....and we are looking forward to many many more great years ahead! ♥

Five whole years

I can't believe it, but yesterday (July 7th) was the 5 year anniversary of our first date! It really doesn't seem like it has been that long.
I guess we are pretty sentimental, because we remember these things and do a little something for them every year. It's fun for us to look back on the beginning of it all.
We went to Disneyland last night---where we ended up on our first date! Brody was so sweet, and surprised me with reservations at Blue Bayou--the restaurant that is at the start of the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' ride. It is the most peaceful & relaxing restaurant ever---we highly recommend it. =)

Our traditional tram shot
"To all who come to this happy place...Welcome"
Inside the Blue Bayou
This salad was really good...I now like my salads in a wedge form =)
Wow, that is some Pirate ship--- and you can even eat the sail
(the back side of the sail) We are not sure what it was made from, but it was REALLY hard and didn't taste like anything.
I gave it a try---not my favorite edible sail ; )

We found some more hidden Mickey's...but this is the only one we could get a photo of. Other's where in videos or REALLY dark rides. This was the Buzz Lightyear ride.

We had a great little anniversary night!
