"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experiences."

Light up the halo!

We had another Angels game this past Thursday night.
It was a great game, we won and had a blast!

Here's Brody on the train on our way up to the stadium...
We were both listening to the scriptures on our Mormon Channel app. : )
It was SO nice to have our camera back and working again.
We were having a lot of fun playing with different settings...I love the lighting on the photo below. : )
We finally wised up (and got tired of stadium food), and brought in our own dinner. I went to Whole Foods before the game and got some REALLY good things to eat. This sandwich was amazing! Turkey, avocado, bacon and this wonderful spread on french bread.
It was SO SO good, I think we will be doing this for the remainder of our games...and i'm not sure why it took us so long to catch on! : )

It was such a beautiful warm night! Perfect night for a game.

Us with our free "Skater hat" give-a-way!
Fireworks after winning the game!
The halo all a glow
This truck was HUGE! As you can see, I fit under the mirror pretty easily.
We stoped to watch the Disneyland fireworks for a bit
Then headed back to the train and home. : )

Taco Tuesday

Mmmmm, it's been a long time since we have tracked down the Kogi truck!
Three cheers for Taco Tuesdays!! : )
(( full and happy ))

Dear Canon,

Thank you, thank you for fixing our camera that mysteriously stopped working one day. We are SO happy to have it home again!

...and thank you for leaving us with these lovely test shots! : )

Shooting Range

We had our Kiwi friends (from my Dads mission) staying with my parents again this past week. The night before they went home we all went to the shooting range. Since having a gun is against the law where they live (They said their police don't even carry them), this was pretty exciting for Marcus!! The guys had a blast and we had a lot of fun watching them!
Right now I only have some photos from my phone....

Here are my hand drawn shooting targets

Brody holding the spider one...that was a personal one for me ; )

The guys targets all shot up and tallied up!

Brody with my big bad spider, after putting 3 shots between his eyes! He's always been good at getting those creepy little things for me! : )

If I can get more photos of the night from the other cameras I'll post those later on! : )

{ Disclaimer:: No actual deer or spiders were hurt during this night }

Happy 4th!!

We had a fun, what turned into a 4th of July week!
We started off with going another one of our season ticket Angel games....and took the train again (It's just so easy and a fun break from driving)! The photo below is taken from the train station....yup, it's that close! : )
Since we were playing the Nationals we got the see the race of the presidents, which I guess they do at least every home game. Seemed fitting for the 4th too. : )

This was a great game! We got some exciting home runs and the crowd was SO into the game!

some game time photo out-takes!
Of course the thing we look forward to the whole week in the summers...
San O!!
It was such a beautiful day!
We tried bacon wrapped hot dogs that we picked up at Costco....they were really good! But I think I'd make our own with a thicker cut bacon. : )
Enjoying a beautiful night at the beach...

Saturday we had a great lunch at the newly re-opened Ruby's Shake Shack!
The menu now is great!! So many more options and better seating.

That night we went to the parks to check out the 4th of July World of Color show!
Since we showed up on a whim, we did the dining package where they give you premium "seating" tickets for the show after dinner, so we would be guarantied to see the show.
We ate at Ariel's Grotto. It was amazing because we had tickets to the 10:15 showing, so from the restaurant (which is down at water level) we could see out the big windows the 9pm show while we were eating! It was very magical (yup, magical)! : )

Some photos from the show
And there were a lot of fireworks with the show too!
It was amazing!!
Sunday after church we headed over to my parents house and we all went down to take a nice walk along the beach, it was so relaxing and beautiful!
(Happy 4th)
Dad and I : )

I really love this photo of my parents! It's so cute!
Then we went back and lite off a big box of fireworks Brody picked up on the way home from work.
Brody puts on a great show!!
On the 4th we hit the parks again!! One of the best kept secrets of the summer, is that the park is SUPER slow in the day time on the 4th. We walked on so many things, it was such a great, fun and relaxing time!!
We took a couple more flights on Star Tours...and had some Stormtroopers show up!! That was awesome! One of them followed me for a bit! I just wish Darth had come out too! : )
On Big Thunder
No one puts on a firework show like Disneyland!! It was amazing! They really stepped it up from a normal show! : )
Hope everyone had a wonderful and safe 4th!!

Summer-slowdown

Well, here we are again, with a stagnant blog....perhaps because it's Summer, and Summer is a very on the go, fun, busy time!
Here's a little look at what we've been up to...yup, the same fun as usual. : )
Things are great and always getting better each day!! As usual I have a ton of photos to go through and not enough time...but I will get around to it soon!
Hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful Summer!!
We're off to a baseball game!
Go Angels! : )
