"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experiences."

CA Letters

There are a lot of changes happening at Disneyland. Most all of California Adventure is under construction. Can't wait for 2012! It will be so fun to see it all come together!

They took out the CA letters in front of the entrance to the park just before my birthday....so we took a little trip up there to get some last photos, before they rip our fun out of the ground! ; )
They will be missed! We took photos in front of them for years and years!
So many fun memories......and below are just a couple....

Luckily, it wasn't a very busy night, so we were able to get some pretty good shots.
Brody jumping : )

Brody's beyond brilliant idea to make the letters into our last name!
I love this!!

Goodbye letters!
...
Hello fun changes!! : )

My Birthday

I was really bad at taking photos during my Birthday. I was too busy enjoying it! : )
My Mom and I went up to DL for lunch. It's always so fun to stop by and see what candy they are making that day. I love how in this photo, you can see a reflection of Main Street as well.
We had such a great lunch at Blue Bayou.
This restaurant has the greatest atmosphere in the world! : )
Our waitress saw my Birthday pin and brought us a free dessert!
Later on, Brody and I went back to the parks for a B-day date night! : )

And Saturday night, we had my traditional Baskin Robbins ice cream cake with the family!
It looked so good I couldn't wait to eat it! ; )
haha, I almost had frosting nose ; )
Love this pic! : )
It was such a great Birthday!

New Years Day

New Years Day evening, we all headed out to Casa Vega up in LA. This restaurant was seen in one of our favorite shows, 'Flipping Out' on Bravo. My parents had already tried it out and said it was amazing, so we were so excited to go!

There was a kinda a whole episode of 'Flipping Out' about this door.
It's a very cool door, AND it was hung properly too. ; )
Me, out by the CV hedges
The restaurant had such a great atmosphere, and was much smaller than I had pictured.
We were happy it was still decked out for Christmas, it was so fun with all that tinsel everywhere!!

This was the fried burrito empanada, I believe it was called. It was also in the top 5 best things I have ever eaten in my life!!
We can't wait to make it back up there!! It quickly became an all time favorite place! : )
After dinner we headed to the LA temple to look around at the Christmas lights. I had been awhile since we went up around Christmas. It was beautiful! And the new visitors center is amazing!
Brody took this shot, and I just love it!
City view from the grounds : )

What a great start to the new year!!

Happy Twenty Eleven!!

I've expressed this in New Years post's of the past, but, I LOVE New Years Eve!! I also love that we have spent it at Disneyland just about every year since we started dating.

This year we went up in the morning and got breakfast, some fast passes and a hand stamp, so we would be sure to get back into DL later that night. : ) It was so fun to go up early before the park got really crowded....but by the time we finished eating, it was starting to fill up! But we don't mind crowds at all.
New Years Set up in front of the castle
People had their firework spot staked out since the park opened.
It's pretty dedicated to spend your day at the park on the curb ; )
As you'll see we had SO much fun wandering the park taking photos of things, and playing with our new camera. We didn't go on any rides the first part of the night, we just walked around playing with the camera! It was a blast! And we took about 500 photos that day, this is just a little taste. : )
The Cast Member who took our photo, told us to hold hands like that. We thought it looked more like a middle school dance shot. haha.
...back at the parks to close out 2010 and start 2011 off right!!

4:49:49 till New Years at this point! : )
We watched the "snow" fall back by Small World. It always snows more back there than it does on Main Street! I just love when they make it snow...

Mmm, perfect midnight snack (or almost midnight)!

What a handsome husband I have! I love this photo...he's so dreamy! : )

Couldn't believe how many hats they had, and can you believe they ran out?!?

The area around the castle is so much fun at New Years!
So many lights, and music and tons of happy people ready for the new year!

Pluto and Goofy
Little bit of Hot Coco to continue to stay awake for the new year. haha.
Watching the fireworks back by Small World was amazing!
I've never seen a show like it, it was beautiful!
A little New Years kiss : )
We made our way from Small World to the castle to catch a bit more of the party before heading out.

I've never seen the place SO dirty!

It was such a fun night!!
We are really looking forward to this new year and all the wonderful things it has in store for us. We feel so very blessed!! : )
